Mission

MISSION The mission of FRESS is the preservation, dissemination, teaching and research related to heritage and knowledge of the decorative arts. For the pursuit of its goals, it operates the following units:

• Museum of Portuguese Decorative Arts, which preserves and promotes the dissemination of the decorative arts and related artworks that make up the museum collection;

• Schools and/or units specifically dedicated to teaching, training and research in decorative arts and related knowledge;

• Workshops that ensure the perpetuity of technical know-how and the preservation of heritage;

• Department of Conservation and Restoration dedicated to the field of decorative arts and related know-how, carrying out interventions in movable and immovable heritage at a national and international level.
