A UNIQUE PROJECT

Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva fostered an original and unique project for the safeguarding, dissemination, and teaching of the decorative arts. The project took the form of a public service institution where knowledge is maintained and transmitted daily by Masters, ensuring its continuity through the hands of apprentices and students.

By gearing its mission towards the protection and safeguarding of artistic and intangible heritage and knowledge of the arts and crafts, the Foundation’s legacy has achieved a position of unparalleled excellence in the educational and cultural fields.
